Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has likened Cristiano Ronaldo to Scottish great Jimmy Johnstone.
He said: "The great thing about Cristiano is that he always gets up and wants the ball.
"He reminds me of Celtic's Jimmy Johnstone. He was exactly the same. He would get kicked all over the place but he would just want to attack the big bully who had kicked him to the ground. He would just run straight at them.

To celebrate Jimmy Johnstone's birthday, the official website has put together a limited edition gift box.
As seen recently on Celtic TV, the box set features a limited edition commemorative programme, in tribute to Celtic's greatest ever player and to the famous Lisbon Lions team of 1967.

CELTIC are to erect a statue outside the ground in honour of their greatest player, Jimmy Johnstone.
The figure will celebrate the life of the dynamic winger who passed away last year after making over 500 appearances for the club and scoring 130 goals.

A Faberge egg produced in honour of the late Celtic star Jimmy Johnstone could fetch up to £20,000 when it goes up for auction in Edinburgh next month.
The jewelled tribute is among a collection of sporting treasures going under the hammer at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston on 20 May.

Celtic Football Club today unveiled a memorial statue in honour of the magnificent Jimmy Johnstone, the man voted the club’s Greatest Ever Player.
The stunning statue, positioned at the main entrance to Celtic Park will be a lasting tribute to Jimmy, a man who the club is so proud to have as one of its favourite sons.

A bronze statue in honour of Celtic legend Jimmy Johnstone has been unveiled outside the football club's stadium in the east end of Glasgow.
Johnstone, known to fans as Jinky, died in March 2006 at the age of 61, after a long battle with motor neurone disease.

CELTIC were yesterday given the green light to immortalise legendary winger Jimmy Johnstone in a £60,000 statue.
The Hoops will now erect the memorial at the entrance to Parkhead — next to the club’s founder Brother Walfrid.
